I am obsessed with any product that smells like vanilla, so when the press release for the Organix Vanilla Silk range landed in my inbox, I knew I just had to try it!
I contacted Love PR a few weeks ago to request a sample and they generously sent me a bottle of the Shampoo and conditioner to try. I was totally expecting sachets!
Organix Vanilla Silk review
What they say: ‘Indulge your senses with this exclusive blend of smoothing Tahitian vanilla bean oils to instantly nourish and moisturize, while silk amino proteins strengthen and seal your hair’s cuticles, revitalizing your hair, creating silky, smooth shinny hair.’
What I thought: First of all, the scent…as soon as I started washing the shampoo out of my hair, the steam filled the bathroom with the heavenly vanilla scent. I would describe it as vanilla cupcakes. Sweet (but not artificial) and slightly creamy. My hair is too short for me to actually smell my own hair. If I could, I would probably be smelling my own hair all day, like a weirdo!
My hair normally gets oily quickly after washing it, but this range didn’t seem to make my hair oily as quick. Not that I would make a habit of it, but my hair still looked and felt clean after 3 days! (some conditioners can make my hair oily the next day).
Pros:
– Smells yummy
– Sulfate and paraben free, so there is no or very little build up
– Eco friendly packaging.
– Not tested on animals
Cons:
– Always run out of shampoo 1st…but that’s probably because my hair is short, so I don’t use a lot of conditioner.
– Price. Not everyone is prepared to pay $15+ for one bottle. (I would, so really this is not one of my ‘cons’ haha)
There are three products available from Priceline in the Organix Vanilla silk range. Soft and silky vanilla silk shampoo $15.99, soft and silky vanilla silk conditioner $15.99 and Silk Serum soft and silky vanilla silk $17.99
Thank you Love PR for letting me try this great range, I will definitely be repurchasing them when I run out!

Ohh this smells heavenly! I might have to give this a go!
I’m more than willing to shell out that kind of money on something that’s actually good, too 😛

definitely, good quality shampoo is worth the extra $$
Vanilla, you say? I’m SOLD! I’m pretty much a sucker for anything with vanilla in it. 🙂
