Minions merchandise

Ever since I saw Despicable Me for the first time, I have been obsessed with the Minions and now with the latest Minions movie released, I love that there is so many different Minions Merchandise items available right now.

The Minions movie was released here in Australia on June 18, but isn’t out in the US until July 10

Here are some of the Minion Merchandise items (other than the Minion sneakers featured in my Birthday wish list post) that I have either bought already, are on my wish list or I just think are cute.

Minions merchandise

1. Minion leggings $20 from Jay Jays- I actually bought these! I don’t normally buy printed leggings like this, but I think they’re cool!

2. Minion Talking Bob RRP$68 from Big W– He is on my (minion related) wish list, I already own Stewart and Tim talking Minions from the first Despicable Me movie, so I’d love to add Bob to my collection. When I saw the Minions movie last week, I thought he was so cute with his little Teddy bear.

3. Greens Minion cupcakes Caramel & Banana $4.34 from Coles- I have seen pictures around of this, but I haven’t been able to find them at any of my local supermarkets 🙁 This cupcake reminds me of when I was a kid (maybe grade prep or 1) and we’d take cupcakes to school for our class for our own birthday haha…I think I had TMNT ones

4. Minion Kinder Surprise 3 pack- I am not sure if they have stopped distributing the Minion kinder surprise eggs because they don’t seem to sell them at my local Coles and Woolworths. However, I have seen single ones at the Reject shop for $2 each. I am only missing one from my set!

5. Minions deluxe colouring and activity book $4 from Big W (not available online)- I bought this a while back because I am a child…no, I just like colouring (adult colouring post to come) and I love the minions, obviously.

I feel a little weird admitting that I am a little obsessed with all things Minions, especially when I’m going to turn 29 in a few weeks! Oh well, I always say that adults should never lose their inner child completely. Life is to short to be serious, together ‘grown ups’ all the time!

This is post 6 of my 29 posts in 29 days, it’s just a day late…and will mean that today’s post will either be up tonight or tomorrow sometime. Then it will be back to one post a day.

Bobbi Brown Telluride Eye Palette- First impressions

The * Bobbi Brown Telluride collection (Limited Edition) hits counters today (July 5) around Australia! A couple of weeks ago I was generously sent the Bobbi Brown Telluride eye palette to feature on my blog.

Bobbi Brown TellurideI will be using the eye palette in an upcoming makeup look soon, but for now I am going to post up swatches of each eye shadow shade and give you my first impressions.

The inspiration behind the Telluride collection is one of Bobbi’s favourite destinations, of the same name amongst the mountains of Colorado. She has drawn inspiration for the shades in the collection from the gorgeous glowing tones of the late afternoon sun in Telluride.

Bobbi Brown Telluride

Shades L to R: Cream, Woodrose, Velvet Plum Metallic, Blazing Star Sparkle, Heather Rose Shimmer Wash, Antique Rose, Smokey Brown

Telluride Eye Palette description:
A palette of sunset-inspired eye shadow shades that deliver a range of brilliant eye looks. Featuring seven earthy eye shadows in a variety of brown, soft blush and mauve hues, this palette is a fresh take on a neutral eye—a major makeup trend from Fall 2015 New York Fashion Week. The palette includes a sleek Dual-Ended Eye Shadow/Eye Liner Brush for  on-the-go application

The shades vary in opacity, as you will see in my swatches below. I like that there are some matte shades, some shimmery shades and a full-on glitter! (Blazing Star Sparkle)

Just from the swatches the shadows, they were very silky to the touch. Cream and Woodrose are matte shades, but Woodrose is more pigmented than Cream. Cream seemed a little sheer, but I won’t get the full impact of it until I try it out on my eyelids. Heather Rose Shimmer Wash (wow, that’s a mouthful!) is exactly what the name suggests a sheer wash of colour with a hint of shimmer. Velvet Plum Metallic has larger glitter particles in it and I am impressed with it’s pigmentation! Antique rose is my favourite of the matte shades, it appears to have the same opacity as Woodrose. The last shade Smokey Brown is another matte shade and the most pigmented of the shades, it would be great for shading in the crease of the lids or along the waterline or even a softer winged look (than you get with eyeliner).

Swatches

Bobbi Brown Telluride

Shades L to R: Cream (you can’t see it very well, sorry), Woodrose, Velvet Plum Metallic, Blazing Star Sparkle (more impressive in real life), Heather Rose Shimmer Wash, Antique Rose, Smokey Brown

Unfortunately photos don’t do all of these shades justice! It’s hard to see the Cream swatch and Blazing Star Sparkle is a LOT more sparkly than it appears here.

As I mentioned at the start of this post, the Bobbi Brown Telluride Collection is available today, from the Bobbi Brown Studio, selected David Jones, MYER and Mecca Maxima stores (*Telluride Eye Palette RRP $95 and Sunset Pink Shimmer Brick RRP$72, only) and online at bobbibrown.com.au

What do you think of the new * Bobbi Brown Telluride eye palette? what shade is your favourite?

Come back tomorrow for day 6 of my 29 posts in 29 days (almost a full week, yay)
