OPI Muppets Most Wanted Collection

The OPI Muppets most wanted collection was released back in April, to celebrate the release of The Muppets Most Wanted in Cinemas, in Australia.

While the movie has been out of theatres for a while, you may still be able to purchase the OPI Polishes at selected Myer and David Jones stores. Unfortunately I didn’t get around to seeing the movie, but I will definitely be buying the DVD when it’s released.

At Salon Melbourne earlier this year, I purchased the ‘When Froggy met Piggy’ duo (below) It includes ‘Kermit Me To Speak’ and ‘Gaining Mole-Mentum’.

The other two polishes I have to show you are ‘Miss Piggy’s Big Number’* and ‘Chillin’ Like A Villain’*

Kermit Me to Speak– Described as a ‘rosy mauve’ (I kind of get that), but I see it more of being a multifaceted green/purple shade, depending on which way the light catches it. One of my favourite shades from the collection. It reminds me a little of the Sally Hansen Lustre shine polishes.
OPI Muppets most wantedGaining Mole-Mentum– As described, this polish is ‘shredded gold and chunky pink glitter’ in a clear base. While this looks pretty in the bottle, I wasn’t a fan of the application. You had to kind of ‘fish out’ the glitter pieces to get an even coat and unless you put on a clear coat over the top, the shredded pieces make your nails feel rough. I applied it over ‘Chillin’ Like a Villain’.
OPI Muppets Most wantedChillin’ Like a Villain*– Described as a ‘sheer nude’, but I think it could be described as a pastel peach also! Just as described is is very sheer, so if you want it more opaque, you’ll need a few coats. This polish is a perfect everyday shade!
OPI Muppets most wantedMiss Piggy’s Big Number*– My other favourite shade from the collection. A gorgeous sapphire blue, that is very shimmery/metallic! A perfect shade for winter too, as it’s a lot darker than the other polishes.
OPI muppets most wantedThe polishes wear quite well, I’ve had ‘Chillin’ Like a Villain’ on for a little over a week now and only the tips have slightly chipped. My nails grow fairly quickly, so there isn’t polish close to my nail-beds, but that end hasn’t chipped at all!

There are 8 polishes in the collection and they retail for $19.95 each, at Myer and David Jones.

Simple Christmas manicure: featuring Bio Sculpture nail polish

It has taken me almost a week to decide what Christmas manicure I wanted to create, after a lot of searches on pinterest and google, I finally came up with (last minute) the design below.

Christmas manicure

Christmas manicure

L-R #2058 Desert Sunset, #107 Her Majesty, #93 Golden Silver

The three Bio Sculpture gel polishes were kindly sent to me on behalf of Bio Sculpture. The shades are as follows:

#2058 Desert Sunset– A bright red-orange shimmer, great for summer and a bit different than your blue based red for Christmas. Orange is my least favourite colour (ever haha), but I was pleasantly surprised with this shade. It looks just as the name suggest, like a sunset.
#107 Her Majesty– Gold glitter, there’s not much I can say about this shade as it’s pretty self explanatory. Though, I will say that it is the first glitter polish that I have been able to get off with a nail polish remover wipe (with not much effort either!)
#93 Golden Silver– Brushed stainless steel shimmer, this applies like it is ‘brushed’, but it’s not streaky. I love that it is a darker silver, I haven’t got a shade anything like it!

You can purchase Bio Sculpture at selected salons, for a list of them head to the Bio Sculpture site and enter your postcode for your nearest salon.

You can also check out their nail polish shades here.

I will be back with a couple more Christmas posts over the next week
